Vibrant aromas of wild forest berries and slate work together seamlessly with the lingering minerality on the palate of wet stone and fallen leaves, to paint a visual picture of a lush forest captured in each bottle.
Your February Shipment pairs this new release of CASK with one bottle each of the 2018 and 2016 vintages of 1882 Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as two bottles of 2016 Edizione Pennino Zinfandel.
Each wine in this five-bottle assortment shares the same superb quality of well-structured tannins and elegant finish, a pleasure to the senses from aromatic first inhale to the delectable final sip.

2023 CASK Cabernet Sauvignon
Evocative and deeply expressive, this 2023 CASK Cabernet Sauvignon conjures the sensation of a quiet walk through a shaded forest. Aromas of wild forest berries and huckleberries are layered with notes of cedar and slate, offering a compelling balance of fruit and earth. Hints of Nocino, traditional Italian walnut liqueur, lend a savory, spiced richness, enhancing the wine’s complexity. The palate is grounded, with firm structure and lingering minerality that mirrors the scent of wet stone and fallen leaves. Elegant yet untamed, this wine finishes with graceful persistence and a sense of place that is both wild and refined.
2018 1882 Cabernet Sauvignon
With its deep, red garnet hue, 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon 1882 leads the nose to attractive notes of cocoa powder, black cherry, and ripe black plum. Immediately balanced and graceful on the palate, the wine shows ripe flavors of cassis and black cherry, with a deft touch of French oak on the finish. Full and well-textured, this vintage is particularly vibrant and fresh, with polished tannins of superb quality
2016 Edizione Pennino Zinfandel
Red garnet in color, the 2016 Edizione Pennino Zinfandel exhibits warm aromas of ripe, brambly blackberries, with notes of allspice, clove, and white pepper. The entry on the palate is opulent, yet fresh, yielding to dusty, well-textured tannins that carry the wine into a long, softly-rounded finish.
2016 1882 Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 1882 offers splendid aromas of blueberry and cassis with highlights of anise, savory fines herbes, and red cherry. Finely grained tannins enhance a complex, yet polished structure that finishes fresh and vibrant, with a mysterious hint of mocha.
