1882 Brut Rosé

In 1882, Captain Gustave Niebaum produced his first vintage of wine. We celebrate his pioneering spirit with our Méthode Champenoise Brut Rosé, sourced from Oregon’s Dundee Hills, to honor tradition while embracing new horizons.

Vintage Notes:

The 2020 vintage experienced cool temperatures commencing with bud break and continuing through bloom. The warm and dry growing season offered near-ideal conditions for vine development, creating smaller clusters. The combination of small clusters and warmer temperatures during the ripening phase resulted in intensely flavored fruit with concentrated juice. Early harvest produced fruit exhibiting remarkable richness and complexity, marking this vintage as a standout year for Oregon wines.

Tasting Notes:

The 2020 Niebaum Pennino 1882 Brut Rosé features a delicate blush hue and opens with enticing aromas of rhubarb and watermelon rind. On the palate, it boasts refreshing acidity, providing a lively character. The finish reveals a nice added complexity, rounding out the experience and enhancing its overall charm. Its versatility ensures enjoyment as both an aperitif and a companion to food.
