Tasting Notes
A bouquet of zesty grapefruit and Meyer lemon, provides our 1882 Sauvignon Blanc an invigorating freshness. Intertwined with the vibrant citruses are the enchanting aromas of passion fruit, imparting a tropical allure. Soft, white peach notes and delicate white flowers add an elegant dimension on the palate. All of this is beautifully underpinned by a subtle minerality that provides structure and a refreshing, mouthwatering finish.
Vintage Notes
The 2022 vintage unfolded gracefully as the soil retained moisture from early rains. The reduced need for extensive irrigation resulted in healthy canopies followed by early bloom and veraison. Mild July temperatures and classically cool Napa Valley summer nights preserved the freshness and acidity in our Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The warmth of August contributed to achieving their optimal ripeness at harvest which commenced on August 11th and concluded on August 22nd.

The palate is vibrant, featuring tropical guava and pineapple flavors that add a touch of exotic fruitiness. The wine finishes with a long, crisp acidity, leaving a refreshing and lasting impression.
Vintage Notes
A winter of generous rainfall provided abundant soil moisture to start the 2023 growing season. Wet and cold winter soils contributed to timely bud break, while a cool early spring prolonged the development from bud break through bloom. Thanks to the abundant soil moisture, the canopies flourished and ensured the vines had ample resources for ripening the crop. Bloom occurred in June under ideal conditions, with perfect temperatures and humidity for a successful fruit set. The warmth of summer brought the growing season to a close with excellent ripening of our Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, keeping their freshness and minerality in balance. The optimal exposure of the clusters of Sauvignon Blanc helped the development of floral and citrus aromas in the fruit at the end of maturation. Our Sauvignon Blanc harvest began on August 25th and concluded on September 19th.
